Museum Affandi

Hey people! Last Wednesday (Feb 2), me and my best friend Kartini visited Affandi Museum. Yes, Affandi who is one of the most famous painting maestro in Indonesia.

This museum is located in Jl. Laksda Adi Sucipto 167 Yogyakarta - Indonesia (about 10-15 minutes by car/motorcycle from Adi Sucipto Airport). This museum is actually Affandi's family house. In June 9, 1988, this gallery was officially opened for public. It's architecture is unique, somehow its roofs looks like banana leaf.

Last time I visited this museum when I was about 9 or 10. Nowadays (13 years later), I think the museum is now maintained well, and internationally standardized. But, I think the entrance charge (IDR 20000) is too expensive for us, local student visitor. I think it would be good if there is difference between foreign and local visitor for entrance charge :D hehehe! Ah ya, the charge is include free drink in the cafe as compliment.

Visitors are not allowed to take photos inside the gallery. I don't know, it is only in 1st Gallery or all galleries, because in 2nd and 3rd Gallery there's no one (and even cctv) monitored us inside. If our hearts let us cheat, I will take photos as much as I can inside the gallery.
